What components come with the complete modern barn door hardware system?

You will receive dependent on selection the following:

2 x Wheel set

3 or 4 x wall mounts (depends on the length of rail you choose)

1 x solid stainless steel rail

2 x rail mounted adjustable door stops

1 x floor guide

How do I determine the rail length?

We offer 3 different lengths of rail.

Our shortest length is 64". You can use a door width range from 28" – 34" with this rail length. The stops are adjustable on the rail that is why you have a range of door widths.

Our middle length is 74". You can use a door width range from 36" – 42" with this rail length. The stops are adjustable on the rail that is why you have a range of door widths.

Our longest length is 96". You can use a door width range from 44" – 52" with this rail length. The stops are adjustable on the rail that is why you have a range of door widths.

What panel material do I need?

If you choose the system for wood doors, you can use either wood material, or even metal material.

If you choose the system for glass doors, you can use frameless glass no more than ½" thick, or even a plastic resin no more than ½" thick.

What is panel thickness?

We need to know how thick your panel is so we can provide the correct length of screws for the wall mount standoff.

What is baseboard thickness?

We need to know the thickness of your baseboard which also can determine the screw length for the wall mount standoff. If you don't have any baseboard, please tell us N/A.

What is casing thickness and height?

We need to know the thickness and height of your casing (also known as frame) which also can determine the screw length for the wall mount standoff. If you don't have any casing, please tell us N/A.

How do I clean my stainless steel modern barn door hardware?

We always say that if you clean your wood doors, (just like cleaning your car) you can prolong the finish and the life of the wood door for as long as you own your home. We only use high quality stainless steel for our wood doors. SDH.com recommends using stainless steel cleaner at least once a month to take off any residue that may accumulate on the wood doors. SDH.com offers stainless steel cleaner. If you do not have any stainless steel cleaner, use hot soapy water. Please NEVER use any harsh chemicals, chlorine, bleach etc… Harsh chemicals will ruin stainless steel almost immediately.
